So much history in these beautiful European antique flax linen sacks. These sacks range in age from the late 18th to the late 19th century. Handmade from long linen bolts that were Painstakingly handwoven, it took the average weaver 1 night to weave 60 centimeters (24 inches). The sacks were used for storing and hauling grains. Each farm had a unique design/ stripe to designate its owner. Today these sacks are being repurposed to add natural organic beauty to any home. Each grain sack bears individual marks of use and history, they were invaluable to the farm family.
